Pumpkin is looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Strategic Account Manager to join our team.In this role, you will play a pivotal role supporting our efforts in the veterinarian channel, expanding our customer base, and driving revenue growth.
With a focus on building strong client relationships and executing effective sales strategies, you will contribute to educating veterinary professionals on the value of pet insurance.
If you have a track record of exceeding sales quotas and share our passion for pets, this is the role for youThis is a remote position requiring weekly territory travel of 4 dedicated field days and 1 home office day in the New York City metro area.
What You'll Do:
Actively pursue and close new business opportunities, aiming to achieve a quarter-over-quarter growth of +15%.Assume ownership of a portfolio of accounts, managing and nurturing these relationships to drive quote, policy and revenue growth.
Develop and execute tailored sales strategies for each account, leveraging data analytics and insights to introduce our products effectively.
Establish a reputation as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in your field, fostering long-term client relationships.
Foster strategic partnerships and build a strong network to develop a robust pipeline of new business opportunities and create collaborative opportunities.
Utilize exceptional presentation skills, persuasive abilities, and a talent for driving behavior change in clients.Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and a self-starter attitude, taking ownership of your sales goals and initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
3+ years of sales experience, with at least 1 year of field/outside sales experienceA self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and proven success in launching new territories or working in low-structure, start-up environmentsStrategic and creative thinking to develop innovative sales approaches and step outside conventional methodsSolid understanding of the products/services you've sold and expertise in concept selling, preferably in B2B or B2B2C rolesStrong data analysis capabilities to examine past performance metrics and build effective sales plans for the territoryA business-minded individual who takes ownership of their book of business, analyzes historical data, and forecasts future performance, actions and trendsExpertise in fundamental sales skills such as route planning, overcoming objections, closing techniques, etc.

Compensation may vary outside the listed range, based on a number of factors including but not limited to location, qualifications, performance, skills and experience.
The compensation range listed is just one component of Pumpkin's total compensation package for employees.Total compensation packages, depending on the position, may also include incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, and other short or long-term incentives.
If hired, employees will be in an 'at-will position' and Pumpkin reserves the right to modify compensation (as well as any other discretionary payment or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
