- Develop a list of improvement or growth goals for each Sales Consultant and monitor progress.
- Provide feedback to all direct reports on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.
- Educate sales staff to build/improve product knowledge and sales skills.
- Establish a monthly contact schedule with each Sales Consultant with a minimum of seven full day work-withs.
- Provide all tools and materials necessary for Sales Consultants to successfully complete assignments.
- Develop and implement creative selling ideas within your team.
- Identify and assist in the training of your potential replacement.
- Conduct weekly group and individual meetings; attend and take part in the development and preparation of meetings and presentations for the division
- Review sales versus goal progress regularly and address issues immediately.
- Assist in the development of brand sales programs.
- Direct Sales Consultant to recognize new account openings and opportunities in their areas quickly to create a competitive advantage.
- Work with the sales group to identify and communicate competitive market activity in the marketplace
- Enforce the use of an organized master route schedule by the Sales Consultant to ensure frequent and consistent account contact.
