    Job Description

    Gunderson Dettmer has an opening for a temporary Legal Recruiting Assistant to support our Legal Recruiting team. The duration of this assignment is anticipated to be six months and there is a potential to convert to permanent hire at the end of the assignment. This is a hybrid position in the Redwood City office of Gunderson Dettmer, but will support multiple offices. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate seeking to learn about recruiting in a law firm environment. The ideal candidate will thrive on working closely with others and enjoy multitasking to collaborate on various projects.

    Job Responsibilities
    • Assist with and maintaining candidate and training databases, including correspondence to candidates and recruiters, collecting evaluations, data entry and generating reports.
    • Assist in planning and organizing summer associate program events, including tracking invoices and expenses, managing RSVP counts, and tracking summer associate files (evaluations, work assignments, transcripts).
    • Prepare documents and correspondence, including outreach to law school career services and student organizations.
    • Prepare interview materials specifically for OCI, including scheduling interviews, coordinating logistics, and ensuring smooth execution of the OCI process.
    • Assist with updating department calendars and manage the team's inbox, including organizing incoming correspondences and ensuring prompt responses to inquiries.
    • Schedule interviews and manage logistics, including conference room reservations, catering and video conference logistics, and circulating calendar invitations.
    • Host candidates during interviews, including greeting in-person candidates and facilitating their interview schedule throughout the day.
    Job Requirements
    • Prior human resources, professional development, recruiting, event planning or administrative experience in an office environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook, with knowledge of Excel.
    • Experience with recruiting databases such as ViRecruit preferred.
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Superior organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • The use of good judgment and discretion.
    • Ability to work across multiple offices and to occasionally be available to do overtime, as needed.
    Educational Requirements
    • BS/BA degree.
    Status
    • Full-Time, Temporary
    The expected pay range is $30-$35/hour, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
