    Job DescriptionAbout the Role

    Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join their law firm, specializing in managing financial records and transactions related to our real estate practice as well as handling other financial accounting responsibilities for the firm. This role requires a professional with a strong background in accounting principles and a clear understanding of real estate transactions and legal financial compliance.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Manage and record all financial transactions related to real estate, including purchases, sales, and leases.
    • Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner.
    • Perform all tasks related to accounts payable and receivable, including processing payments, preparing invoices, and managing collection activities.
    • Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements on a regular and as-needed basis.
    • Reconcile bank accounts and generate reconciliation reports.
    • Assist in preparing for audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
    • Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure financial information is accurate and secure.
    • Maintain comprehensive records of all real estate documents and financial transactions.
    • Handle payroll processing and report payroll taxes.
    Qualifications
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; relevant certification (such as CPA) is a plus.
    • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, ideally within a law firm or real estate environment.
    • Strong understanding of bookkeeping practices and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel).
    • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capability to prioritize tasks.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
    Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
