Business Analyst

Herndon, VA

MUST:

Secret Clearance required
5+ years as a business analyst with government client experience preferred
Experience with UX tools like Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, and other relevant design software
customer business needs to be a successful advocate for the customer
Experience with Agile methods and tools
Coordinate and lead project team meetings with technical staff and stakeholders
Experience writing user stories, including acceptance criteria
Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Experience in gathering requirements
Able to take initiative, manage own workload, and assume responsibility for tasks
Able to multi-task, handle multiple projects, and meet internal and client deadlines
Previous experience working with Government clients is highly desirable
Strong prioritization skills and ability to gather information quickly to re-prioritize in a dynamic environment
Excellent interpersonal skills, relationship-building skills, coordination and people skills to promote the improvement of relationships between team members and the overall organization
Strong business writing skills
Bachelor's Degree with experience in a related Information Technology field

DUTIES:

Own, manage, develop and prioritize product backlog of user stories.
Helps stakeholders envision how their processes will change with the implementation of the solution.
Clearly communicates the requirements to the team and works with individual team members as needed to explain requirements.
Establishes user story acceptance criteria and accepts user stories into the baseline.

Helps to define sprint goals for their project, and acts as the proxy product owner to accept sprint delivered development.

Assists development teams in researching, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues, documenting solutions, and managing bug fix release cycles
Facilitate client-facing meetings to understand requirements and help prioritize organizational strategies and plans.
Coordinate and lead project team meetings with technical staff and other key stakeholders.
Assist the team lead in preparing project status reports and presentations by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information.
