Purpose:


Business Financial Analyst provides analytic and consulting support for long-term, large-scale change management to improve financial management operations across the agency.


Duties and responsibilities:


  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Statistics or related field.
  • 36 years of experience in program and project financial management.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and its effective use in a financial tracking, analysis, and reporting environment.
  • Excellent customer service and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and demonstrated professionalism.
  • Ability to solve problems through systematic analysis of processes with sound judgement with a realistic understanding of relevant issues.
  • Research background data mining.

Strong research skills - conducting deep dives, analytics,

  • Ability to work with big data.
  • Work with unstructured data.
  • For example: Epidemiology, statistician.
  • Ability to visualize Data
  • Strong knowledge with dashboard tools, specifically with PowerBI or Tableau
  • Work with live data, APIs, or databases.
  • Import data from excel.
  • Advance skills in Excel
  • Pivot tables create, manipulate.
  • Create logic formulas.
  • Ability to merge data sets, for example index/match.
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to normalize large datasets.

  • Create professional PowerPoints.
  • Present data in summary tables.
  • Functional skills
  • Develop the Methodology Process and document for repeatable processes, develop standard operating procedures (SOP), and project timelines.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new platforms to conduct searches and create reports (for example, Flexera, BelArc, BelManage, ServiceNow, EAMS)
  • Be aware of software manufactures/names/semantic versioning not required but good to know.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to be flexible and switch between priorities example respond to data calls on a timely manner or tight timeline.
  • Ability to verbally articulate the data with the customer so that they get a clear picture of the environment.
  • Customer service orientated, customer facing experience (e.g., retail, restaurant)
