    (AHP) is seeking Regional Advisors in the state of Illinois who have the desire to make a difference in the world and work on programs/projects that improve the health and welfare of people and communities.

    The candidate will work on the Illinois Regional Care Coordination Agency Project as regional lead, promoting a coalition within one of Illinois' seven regions.

    The project is a statewide effort to use Opioid Settlement Funds to establish seven (7) Regional Care Coordination Agencies throughout the state of Illinois that will work to fund and provide support to prevention, intervention, treatment, and harm reduction services aimed at addressing the effects of the opioid crisis.

    The Staff Consultants will be hired to provide leadership within their regions, inclusive of building and leading a regional coalition, serving as a liaison for subrecipients/sub-grantees, delivering training and technical assistance, and providing support and expertise to internal and external stakeholders.

    About the Position
    This is a remote Position in Illinois.

    However, the position will require periodic travel to AHP's Chicago Office for meetings and training and to assigned regions throughout the state.


    The Regional Advisor Will:
    T raining and Technical Assistance

    Develop and provide individual TA around program specifics and implementation to grantees, funders, subcontractors, other external stakeholders, or project teams and other internal stakeholders.

    Serve as a facilitator for internal or external expert panels, working meetings, and TA sessions, including the development of purpose, agenda, scope, implementation methods, and evaluation.

    Serve as a liaison to sub-recipients, providing individual training and technical assistance around program compliance and implementation.
    Leadership
    Provide leadership to one or more regional coalitions. This includes engaging in recruitment efforts and meeting collateral.

    The regional coalitions will inform the use of state Opioid Settlement Funds (OSF) in their region, as well as informing decisions around training and technical assistance for providers, sub-recipients, local government entities, and other key stakeholders in their region.

    Provide thought leadership across the Center for Training, Technical Assistance, and Consulting (CTTAC) around the use of the OSF and coalition building:

    Educate staff on specific areas of subject matter expertise as requested.
    Mentor, educate, and model for junior staff.
    Provide support to content creation across relevant projects.
    Consult with project teams to ensure relevant projects are completed with relevant subject matter expertise.

    Content Development

    Identify areas for needed content around Illinois use of OSF in print materials and large- and small-scale training and technical assistance opportunities.

    Independently create content for training and technical assistance materials.
    Business Development
    Serve as a task lead in the creation of proposals for funding.
    Maintain partnerships with account managers around relationships with current, past, and potential clients.

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
    Candidates with the following knowledge and traits are encouraged to apply:

    High-level knowledge of nonprofit, behavioral health, or government leadership, including recruitment and retention of staff, development of staff, program development and oversight, and budgets.

    Highly sophisticated organizational development and cross-system collaboration
    Diplomacy, coaching, and leadership without organizational chart authority, including maintaining client and stakeholder engagement and relationships.
    High-level professional communication in both verbal and written presentations for diverse audiences.
    Facilitation of diverse groups to a common plan of action.
    Intermediate ability to draw out others' descriptions of problems or gaps, helping them to identify needs.

    Ability to quickly synthesize information in their area of expertise and apply it to problems or gaps within the portfolio of interest and in business development contexts.

    Outstanding ability to manage multiple competing priorities while remaining available and flexible to identify and address needs as they are identified.

    Ability to research and write draft reports, meeting summaries, and educational resources.
    Ability to develop and deliver training and presentations using subject matter expertise and adult learning strategies.

    Ability to serve as a model of how to present content knowledge effectively and compellingly for both internal and external stakeholders, fulfilling contract obligations and creating further opportunity for the firm in the process.

    Education and Training

    Candidates for this position are preferred to possess a Master's Degree in public health, public administration, social work, behavioral health, or a related discipline.

    Candidates with a bachelor's degree or personal lived experience and extensive field experience may hold this position on a case-by-case basis.

    Professional Experience
    The Regional Advisor will have five or more years of highly complex applicable work experience. Experience providing consulting, training, or technical assistance is preferred.

    Salary Range:

    Regional Advisor:
    $88,000 - $95,000

    The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the AHP salary range for this position.

    Actual salaries will vary and may be high or low in the range based on various factors, including but not limited to location, experience, and education.

    The range listed is just one component of AHP's total compensation package for employees.
    Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
