    Description

    Title: Director of Sourcing and Product Development

    Company: Fashion Apparel Manufacturer

    Location: New York, NY- Hybrid Schedule

    Salary : $130k-$175k

    Company Description: Our client is a well known womens contemporary Knitwear company in NYC offering a hybrid schedule is seeking a Director of Production/Sourcing/Costing

    Responsibilities:

    · Director of Production and Sourcing for Women's production.

    · Develop and implement strategies for the company growth and profitability targets.

    · Develop strong relationships with vendors and overseas factory base.

    · Develop and source the newest knit fabrications

    · Source new supply chain factory resources.

    · Determine which factories for the best options for garment production

    · Oversee all related issues with pricing, quality, and production

    · Manage all cost negotiations to achieve IMU% goals

    · Partner with factory Compliance functions in the approval process

    · Develop, monitor, and implement seasonal time/action calendars in order to achieve required delivery

    · Direct production approval process- including fit approvals, trim, color approval, and production scheduling

    to meet sales plan

    · Manage a team of production coordinators and technical designers

    Skills

    · Bachelor's degree

    · 7 plus years in production, costing, and sourcing in wholesale in knitwear

    · Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and adobe

    · Overseas travel experience

    · Fabric knowledge, Cut and Sew Knits

    · Factory connections is a plus

    · Must have Walmart experience

    · Fast-paced, high energy, and multi-tasking capabilities
