Location:
New York, NY
Well-established Ladies, and Children's apparel importer searching for a Product Development Coordinator for immediate hire. Must have strong fabric knowledge.
Responsibilities:
Manage the development process for knitwear production.
- Develop time and action calendars for programs
- Manage placement strategy and followup by recommending product placement
- Good color sense, and ability to review laptops, strike offs and trims.
- Evaluate vendor mix and size of vendor base.
- Source and negotiate best price and delivery
- Review final costing file to make sure it meets or exceeds the budget.
- Daily communication with overseas suppliers on all production details, and costing
- Manage product integrity and order specifications compliance.
- Approve lab dips, and the general flow of the development process
- Plan and execute a strategic sourcing plan to identify strategic partners.
- Knowledge of fabrications and color approvals
Qualifications:
- 35 years of experience in apparel production and development
- Strong costing and negotiation skills
- Fabric knowledge and understanding of knit fabrics and wash
- Microsoft Office Programs, Excel
- BA Degree
Pay:
$75, $80,000.00 per year
