Description
Production Associate:
Responsibilities are (but not limited to):
- Manage the life cycle of product from development through the completion of bulk production
- Bridge between clients design/production/technical teams, internal departments and factory
- Work closely with clients design team to ensure intent is executed through the development stage
- Collaborate daily with production and sourcing/costing manager
- Have attention to detail, organizational skills, multitask, and can work under pressure
- Processing instructions from clients design and technical teams to factory, evaluate samples and specifications
- Tracking submits such as fit/PP/TOP samples, lab dips and trims for production approvals
- Making sure samples, color submits, strikeoffs are approvable before handing off to customer
- Attend fittings as needed and revert meeting agenda to factory
- Manage and maintain development charts, WIP charts, weekly production shipment updates to clients
- Followup on all lab testing and compliance requirements
- Responsible for PO creation, PO issuance, and PO updates/followups
- Follow up with overseas China factories to ensure all deliveries/deadlines are met
- Work with factories to address and correct any quality control issues
- Drop offs and pickups to/from client's office as needed
- Help and prepare inbound and outbound Fedex packages as needed
- Manage and execute special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- 23 years experience in knitwear production
- Basic knowledge of grading, technical specifications
- Able to communicate and followup with factories and clients
- Ability to prioritize and multitask with a keen sense of detail
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, highly organized
- Knitwear/sweater knowledge is a plus
- Able to work under pressure, independently and in team settings
- Team player, pleasant and proactive
- Experience with PLM is a plus
