Summary
The Product Development team at StoreBound drives our product roadmap from concept to shelf.

We not only strive to make our consumers happy and launch products that are 5-star rated but we ultimately drive business results.

We do this as product developers but also by partnering with other teams in the company including but not limited to, sales, creative & marketing.

The Product Development Manager role is an essential part of the Product Development (PD) team at StoreBound. This person will manage all product development for the Dash brand.

They will support the sales team with developing key products that drive market share, profit, and sales and expand our footprint into new product categories.


Responsibilities:


  • Led new product development from concept to mass production for the Dash brands.
  • Research & brainstorm new product ideas, categories, and innovations for development.
  • Perform assortment & category planning, partnering with sales and marketing.
  • Develop userfriendly design concepts and new product introductions by building strategic relationships with key manufacturers, engineers, and design teams.
  • Complete product briefs for new product introductions including but not limited to, competitive analysis, market research, product claims, design, specifications, and required features & functions.
  • Manage product cost structure, maintaining and growing AUR and profit.
  • Sample Evaluation & Product Testing:
  • Giving thorough recaps for factories/designers/engineers
  • cosmetic & functionality briefs.
  • Review & approve product colors, logo, and overall sample cosmetics.
  • Partner with creative and marketing to create collateral & content that give the consumer a better experience.
  • Partner with our Hong Kong, quality assurance & customer service team to ensure our products are 5 stars rated
  • Leverage consumer feedback to identify and create new ways to improve current products, develop new products, and most importantly meet consumers' needs.
  • Lead, Manage, and grow direct reports
  • Product Development Assistants.

Skills Needed

  • 5+ years of manufacturing, sourcing & product development experience. Housewares industry preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Excellent communications skills both written and oral.
  • Detail orientated and organized.
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
  • Consumerfirst mindset.
  • Eagerness to learn and excel in a team environment.
