    VIDAL ASSOCIATES Consulting & Search, leader in the recruitment of executives and managers in France and internationally, is recruiting for a client a NORTHERN STATES - SALES MANAGER AVIATION.

    Our client is a well-respected and successful group specialized in Test Equipment for several industries. The Group is headquartered in France with 26 subsidiaries worldwide.

    This Aviation Division of the Group is strengthening its sales team by recruiting a :

    NORTHERN STATES - SALES MANAGER AVIATION

    Permanent contract - Location : Near Chicago or Detroit

    The Sales Manager will be responsible for attracting new customers as well as maintaining the current customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their requirement. This should result in a pro-active business development approach allowing you to optimize sales in your territory.

    Main responsibilities

    Be in charge of developing sales in his region

    Build and promote strong, longlasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their requirement

    Successfully manage sales projects from lead until delivery on site

    Ensure a proactive customer approach is maintained

    Perform equipment demonstration to customers

    Organize and attend exhibitions/marketing events

    Identify opportunities for new equipment development, building up straight forward business cases to support new development, identifying and controlling risk and ensuring adequate returns for operations activity

    Maintain sales databases by inputting collected data and producing visit and KPI reports to management

    Take lead/Offer support on specific adhoc projects such as tenders

    Prepare sales budget and participate in sales meetings / days

    Qualifications - Requirements

    Working knowledge of the aviation industry (minimum 3 to 5 years' experience)

    Technical knowledge of Test equipment is a plus (with Avionics and Electrical knowledge)

    OEMs/MROs/Airlines sales experience

    Strong commercial acumen, good communication skills, with the ability to develop 'partnership' relationships with customers

    Flexible to work in an international environment, no restriction to travel incountry and abroad

    TechnoCommercial education is a plus but Commercial education coming with Technical products Sales experience is fine.
