Collaborate on creating and planning the department budget with the director of sales and marketing to align overall sales objectives and strategies for the hotel- Study and research local market trends and competitor activity to discover potential leads
- Create and maintain connections with key group and catering accounts in order to keep and expand our market share
- Represent property at appropriate travel industry trade shows and conferences while adhering to the guidelines of the marketing plan and budget
- Increase new business and accelerate revenue generation by cold calling, onsite visits, and sales tours, as well as engaging your local community network
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated exceptional social, verbal, and negotiating abilities
- Stays organized and manage time well
- 3 or more years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in hospitality
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor's degree in business or a similar major is desired
- This position requires previous work experience in a hospitality role
