Director of Development, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy - New Brunswick, United States - Rutgers

    Default job background
    Description

The Rutgers University Foundation seeks a mission-driven, creative, and resourceful development professional to serve as its Director of Development (DOD) representing Rutgers Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy (EMSOP). The DOD will become part of a highly talented and ultra-responsive fundraising team partnering with EMSOP's alumni, patients and families, and physicians, to raise philanthropic support at multiple gift levels.

The DOD will dually report to the Senior Director of Development, Rutgers Health and the Dean of Rutgers Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, and serve as a proactive leader, seeking out connections with alumni to obtain major gifts to support the EMSOP and its growth. They will play a critically important role in enhancing the school's individual giving efforts, while focusing on advancing donor and prospect relationships. The DOD will be joining the foundation at a time of great anticipation during the quiet phase of our multibillion-dollar campaign. This role will be primarily located in New Brunswick and Piscataway, NJ where the DOD will focus on building relationships with the faculty and other academic leaders as well as fellow fundraisers and central RUF teams. They will focus on funding opportunities for talent (student scholarships and endowed chairs), programs and research, facilities and programmatic funds.

A representative of Rutgers Health, EMSOP, and Rutgers at-large, the DOD shares an appreciation for the diverse and impactful work done at Rutgers Health and thoroughly understands fundraising priorities in order to make a compelling case for support. They will be instrumental in building a culture of philanthropy and supporting the development of major gift pipelines through teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and solicitations at the major gift-giving level.
