Posting Summary

  • Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Work Assistant for the Center for Advancing Research and Evaluation for Patient-Centered Care (CARE
  • PC) at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Under the guidance of the Director of Administration and Program Support Coordinator, performs a wide variety of administrative, support, and research services within the unit.

Assists in the conduct of specialized behavioral and social science research and evaluation across projects.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Under direction, assist in various behavioral and social research and evaluation operations including literature reviews, data collection, and data management.
  • Contributes to the preparation of marketing information and other related documents or reports, typing and/or editing narrative, compiling data and providing estimates of projected expenditures.
  • Uses various software packages such as word processing, spreadsheet, graphic design, etc. to produce highquality documents and website updates. Creates tables, charts, graphs, and social media posts as required.
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of schedules, databases, social media and websites.
  • Responsible for responding to all initial inquiries (Email, phone, and written) regarding the assigned projects.
  • Answers and screens telephone calls for assigned projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recent college graduate.
  • One (1) year of prior clerical experience.
  • Experience with graphic design, website maintenance, and database software desirable.

  • Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements. Ability to lift or exert force up to 25 pounds.
