Posting Summary
- Rutgers School of Public Health (SPH) is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant in the Department of Health Behavior, Society, and Policy at Rutgers School of Public Health (SPH).
Principal Investigator is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant that will support research on improving health outcomes among adolescents and young adults impacted by cancer, as well as young adult couples impacted by cancer.
Projects focus on qualitative and quantitative analysis of social support, and understanding how aspects of supportAmong the duties for this position include:
- Engages in multiple aspects of research including recruitment, data collection, data management, and literature searches.
- Manages the daytoday operations of active studies.
- Supports research dissemination (e.g., manuscripts, presentations).

Minimum Education and Experience
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's Degree plus one year of research experience, or a Master's Degree in a relevant science or related field (e.g., psychology, public health, social work, health education).
- Research interest in quality of life among individuals with chronic illness.
- General knowledge of social science research methods and statistics.
- Experience using survey design software (REDCap).
- Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Must have a fairly flexible schedule that allows for variable shifts throughout the week based on participant recruitment.
