Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a part time Temporary Research Assistant for the Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine (CABM) on the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences Campus in Piscataway, New Jersey.

Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), the Temporary Research Assistant performs research activities in a laboratory studying models of potassium channel related disease.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

As directed, performs various research/technical operations relative to the ongoing investigatory activities of the lab.
Performs molecular biology approaches including genotyping of disease models, and expression vector generation.
Maintain accurate records of experimentation and research, assist with data entry and analysis.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience
Associate's Degree in a relevant science or working towards Bachelor's Degree in a biomedical science related field.
Relevant or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant laboratory technician or research study experience carrying out research protocols and tests, or other technical work may be substituted for the degree.
