    Job Description:

    Infosys is seeking an IT Infrastructure Support Specialist for L2/L3 support where candidate will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across various aspects of application support for our client using various Monitoring tools to perform fault analysis, failure avoidance and diagnosis and resolution for any impacting issues in a distributed environment. Candidate will be working closely with development and engineering team to provide input on new functionality and system performance, capacity management, monitoring and testing of infra upgrades and platform releases.

    Required Qualifications:


    • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Chicago, IL or be willing to relocate to the area.


    • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider three year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education.


    • At least 4 years of Information Technology Support experience.


    • At least 3 years of experience working on automation tools like Ansible.


    • Strong hands-on experience on Linux System Administration on RHEL and OEL v7, v8 and on Oracle Cloud Platform.


    • Hands on experience on on-prem to cloud using Ansible, Kubernetes, chef, Puppet, Jenkins, containerization Docker.


    • Hands on experience on Terraform.


    • Familiar with version control tools like Jenkins and GitHub.


    • Knowledge on Apache Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, and WebLogic servers configurations and setup.


    • In-depth and solid understanding of IP networking technologies and TCP/IPNetworking troubleshooting and Linux Network Administration- Ubuntu, Red Hat Linux, and CentOS.


    • To understand app dependencies for CIS hardening process, and Create the Questionnaire to understand the application dependencies before applying the CIS hardening to mitigate the issues.


    • Document CIS hardening implementation, create runbook and rollback plan for on-perm Linux servers for future implementation of CIS hardening of servers.


    • Expertise in using the ansible tower and playbook for configure management.


    • Experience on Creating and updating ansible playbooks.


    • Experience with monitoring tools Nagios, Solar winds and ticketing tools like Service Now.


    • Developed Python scripts for software build conduct and management support.


    • Experience in SDLC and ITIL.


    • Ability to work in diverse/ Multiple stake holder environment.


    • Experience and desire to work in a Global Delivery Environment

    • Planning and Co-ordination skills.


    • Good Communication and Analytical skills.


    • Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment

    The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
