Chicago Metro Workplace Business Operations Manager, U.S. Ergonomics Lead (January 2009 to present)
- Manage 20+ facilities management, office operations, executive support and security team members and contractors across two office locations.
- Manage facilities operations and maintenance for Chicago Metro locations consisting of more than 200,000 square feet of space.
- Oversee operations budget of approximately $18M and manage facilities and office services procurement and accounts payable functions.
- Responsible for managing the planning and delivery of office renovation projects, including construction management, capital budget tracking, stakeholder management, post-construction floor preparation and move coordination.
- Support office closures and leased space reductions, effectively managing office relocations and decommissioning of space per landlord requirements, enabling multi-million-dollar cost savings.
- Manage office life safety and security operations, including a 24/7/365 security command center, lead Chicago office emergency response team and ensure adherence to company global asset protection standards.
- As the U.S. Ergonomic Program Lead and Workplace Accommodation Lead, collaborate with Human Resources and location leads across the U.S. to support employee accommodation requests due to disabilities and medical conditions. Co-led a team to enhance the accommodation process, creating new procedures for caseworkers, an online toolkit and training for all U.S. location leads, along with self-study ergonomic training for all U.S. employees.
- Chicago Workplace Communications Lead, responsible for production and distribution of Workplace communications to all Chicago personnel.
- Manage and ensure adherence to all applicable environmental compliance obligations in the management of operations to support Global ISO 14001 certification, an environmental management system standard, and participate in certification audits.
- Manage and ensure adherence to security controls and policies to support ISO 27001 certification, an information security management system (ISMS) standard, and participate in certification audits.
- Partner with local technology team to provide support and complete tasks associated with various technology infrastructure upgrades, including wireless infrastructure installation, cellular antennas, voice over IP and various collaboration tools and AV equipment.
- Manage landlord and vendor relationships.
- Coordinate local support for global marketing brand rollout by ensuring completion of all local tasks to update office-wide branding elements to comply with new global brand standards.
- Member of North America COVID SWAT team, meeting several times per week throughout pandemic to provide support to all North America offices, over 100 locations, identifying and addressing issues related to COVID and return to office protocols. Also responsible for establishing North America PPE depot, supporting contract tracing efforts for the Chicago office, and ensuring adherence to established global protocols and processes as offices were prepped for return to work.
