    About the Role Summary:

    Global Payments, a Fortune 500 leader in the payments industry, seeks a strategic and effective Senior Director of Content and Enablement to spearhead our marketing content strategy, focusing on driving revenue through owned digital channels fueled by robust lead generation. This high-impact, cross-functional role involves not only managing, creating and delivering content that supports both the buyer's and seller's journeys through every stage of the sales funnel, but also actively assuming a player/coach role that can flex based on the business needs.

    The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of leading high-performing content teams and personally developing innovative digital content that involves growing audiences, revenue and market share for global fintech companies. You'll need a strong track record of managing - as well as influencing - stakeholders across Content Strategy, Marketing, Social, Product, Sales and more, driving measurable business outcomes. As a hands-on leader, you will ensure the team's content not only meets high standards of quality and effectiveness but also meaningfully contributes to our marketing goals across key regions and verticals.

    What You'll Do:

    Content Strategy (30%):

    • Collaborate with business and enterprise leaders to deliver content that maps to key strategic goals.
    • Distill complex ideas into clear, engaging content across multiple formats, such as web, social channels, sales enablement, and marketing campaigns, using leading digital storytelling principles.
    • Stay closely aligned with Product to ensure industry research and competitive differentiators are reflected across every piece of content produced by the team
    • Influence and partner with line-of-business and digital marketers across regions and verticals to develop cohesive campaigns, define key marketing messages, and communicate unified product suites.
    • Define and implement a global content operating model that spans the corporate global footprint, incorporating best practices and key messages.
    Strategic Content Development (40%):
    • Oversee and actively participate in the creation of content for all stages of the sales funnel, including targeted campaigns and sales enablement materials like product toolkits, to include, brochures, presentations and information sheets.
    • Develop clear, compelling messaging that showcases our brand and expertise distinctively.
    • Generate high-impact content pieces such as web content, eBooks, whitepapers, blogs, social content, email content, and video scripts, ensuring they are optimized for search engines and targeted to specific audiences.
    Team Management (30%):
    • Lead and mentor a team of internal content creators and manage external copywriting vendors to ensure high-quality, consistent output.
    • Engage directly in strategic discussions and content creation efforts with Sales, Product, Brand, and Design teams.
    • Ensure all content and copy generated by the team are delivered according to strict deadlines, meeting and regularly exceeding projected timelines.
    • Embrace a test-and-learn approach to understand metrics and trends to optimize content strategies.
    Professional Experience and Skills:
    • Leadership: Minimum of 4 years experience leading a content team in a dynamic corporate or agency setting.
    • Content Development Expertise: At least 10 years of experience in content creation and campaign management, with a demonstrated ability to deliver innovative and result-oriented projects.
    • Strategic and Analytical Skills: Proficient in developing content strategies aligned with business objectives, leveraging analytics to inform decisions.
    • Collaboration and Influence: Expertise in working with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders towards shared business objectives.
    Skills and Qualifications:
    • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, English, Communications, or Journalism. Masters degree or MBA preferred.
    • Digital Marketing Proficiency: Deep understanding of digital marketing, SEO, influencer marketing and social media strategies.
    • Creative and Communication Skills: Exceptional writing and presentation skills, capable of converting complex ideas into engaging and clear content.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AP style writing, adept at adapting the company's tone of voice for various contexts, and strong SEO skills to enhance content visibility and effectiveness.
