Under the direct supervision of the Director of Media Content, this position is responsible for the content programming and production for Moody Radio's podcast team.

This role is the primary person responsible for the production, promotion, and effectiveness of Moody Radio's podcasting operation.

This role manages podcast content from creation to distribution, fosters talent development, collaborates with cross-functional teams, optimizes content strategy, and ensures overall quality and success of the podcast network.

Team Leadership (Lead, Manage, Hold Accountable) and Project Management:

  • Lead the Moody Radio podcast team through all stages of podcast creation, from conception to release.
  • Establish systems and deadlines to keep projects on track, making final creative decisions in conjunction with the Director of Content as necessary.
  • Supervise podcast producers/engineers, holding them accountable to deadlines and quality standards while empowering and encouraging them in their work.

Talent Development and Coaching:


  • Coach and direct Moody Radio's podcast talent, facilitating their growth and development.
  • Lead and develop the podcast team holistically, approving credit card charges, facilitating opportunities for continuing education, and fostering camaraderie and team building through regular communication.

Content Strategy and Optimization:


  • Work closely with the Director of Content to ensure that the content publishing strategy aligns with product objectives and supports the testing of new distribution products and features.
  • Interpret user data to make datainformed decisions, driving ongoing optimization of the Moody Radio podcast network and informing greenlighting decisions on potential podcasts.

Cross-functional Collaboration and Management:


  • Coordinate with marketing, legal, support areas of the Moody Bible Institute to ensure podcast content production is not inhibited by red tape.
  • Coordinate and assist in the acquisition and production of sponsorships, inpodcast production elements, promos, and other needed production elements.
  • Collaborate with the underwriting team to ensure monetized content is configured accurately.
  • Coordinate web and social media postings and provide responses to listeners.

Quality Control and Strategy Development:

  • Conduct podcast quality control to ensure high-quality content.
  • Meaningfully contribute to defining Moody Radio's podcast strategy, setting long and shortterm goals, and identifying production needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Media Content.

Minimum Requirements

  • Three years of podcasting/spoken word audio, ondemand audio, video, digital ads or radio programming experience
  • Professional experience in the production process of audio and video media
  • Professional experience in podcast and modern digital media distribution
  • Expert project management skills
  • English fluency
  • Strong experience and understanding of optimizing metadata for SEO
  • Significant experience in marketing and promotion
  • Experience in directing and leading a podcast talent team
  • Computer proficiency, extensive experience with Microsoft Office and audio production software
  • Proficiency in audio production skills
  • Authorized to work in the US legally without sponsorship

Preferred Requirements

  • Theological education of some kind
  • Proficiency in multiple languages
  • Over two years of experience with ProTools, Adobe Creative Suite, and Omny Studio/Triton
  • Over two years of management experience

  • This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment (such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.) and studio audio equipment (such as audio control boards, production equipment and audio editing software)
  • Hours are flexible on weekdays
  • Little travel is expected for this position
