As part of the Digital Experience Team within the Marketing, Strategy & Innovation (MSI) organization, the Digital Content Management Specialist is responsible for bringing clarity and consistency to CNA's externally-facing web properties as well as advocate and champion for usability best practices, data-driven recommendations, and optimized content management and publishing standards.

The position spearheads projects and coordinates with marketing and business stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure that online initiatives conform to visual, architectural, content and usability standards, and align with CNA's business objectives and website strategy.

In addition to defining and documenting online style and branding requirements, this position serves as content manager of the US and Canadian external websites and works closely with the Product Owner and Product Manager with regard to the planning, development and testing of features and enhancements applicable to CNA's websites.


JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:_
  • Owns and manages web publishing request and intake process such that requests are efficiently assessed, prioritized and completed in a fashion that both meets the business' requirements while adhering to digital experience best practices
  • Partners with Product Owner/Product Manager to define, develop and test new features and functions for CNA's external websites.
  • Partners with Marketing and Business Unit colleagues on crossfunctional digital campaign initiatives to ensure alignment with business goals and a cohesive experience for users visiting CNA's websites from multiple digital channels.
  • Manages the strategic direction and definition of daytoday website initiatives/requests in support of CNA's digital strategy and business goals. Creates and manages enterprise partnerships, coordinating with technical and nontechnical staff to ensure full web stakeholder integration and goal attainment.
  • Utilizes digital analytics and feedback solutions to gather valuable insights and data, enabling informed and strategic decisionmaking. Carefully analyzes user behavior, preferences and feedback to aid with delivering an intuitive and engaging user experience.
  • Conducts quality assurance testing and assists with accessibility reviews to implement necessary web improvements while adhering to industry best practices.
  • Contributes to creative direction and enforces visual standards/design for website user interfaces that align with CNA's brand strategy and design standards.
  • Creates and arranges web graphics to optimize palette, size, speed, navigation, structure and web page layout.
  • Stays current on web design, accessibility and technology trends, as required.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned._
Reporting Relationship

Typically Product Manager, Director (or equivalent) or above

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Excellent knowledge and experience using content management systems (Drupal), analytics tools (GA4), web optimization and experience management (Siteimprove/Qualtrics) and project management tools
  • Solid interpersonal and collaboration skills that support working with internal and external crossfunctional stakeholders
  • Indepth understanding of website architecture and experience, including A/B testing methodologies and best practices
  • Ability to assess new technology, platforms and design criteria in a structured, enterprisefriendly fashion
  • Solid understanding of company and department goals. Understands customers and distributors to ensure that projects are properly targeted.
  • Proven organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and follow through in a timely fashion
  • Attention to detail; strong emphasis on accuracy
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of current design software (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) and HTML/CSS
  • Knowledgeable regarding current web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG) as defined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI)
Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, website design, web development or equivalent
  • Minimum five years web management experience including knowledge of Drupal Content Management, Google Analytics, Robohead project management (or similar) and Adobe Photoshop.
