    Purpose:
    Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a

    Financial Systems Analyst

    to support our customer in San Diego, CA.

    Job Description:
    Financial Analysts provide financial management support for a branch, office, organization, or department.

    They may also perform the following duties:
    Providing advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets.
    Measure organizational performance; assess the effects of various programs and policies on the budget.
    Analysts examine budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives.
    May employ cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program tradeoffs, and explore alternative funding methods.
    Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organization's spending.
    Develop guidelines and policies governing the formulation and maintenance of budgets.
    May conduct training sessions for company or government agency personnel regarding new budget procedures.
    Coordinate financial activities across various stakeholders.
    Manage finances across multiple funding types.
    Track budgets, costs, and variances.
    Produce executive summaries.
    Conduct financial reporting and analyses on financial issues and customer requirements.
    Develop and propose courses of actions (COAs) and recommendations for financial issues.
    Interpret and apply financial management principles.
    Apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations and organizational strategic goals.


    Qualifications:
    Must haveBA in Finance or related field or equivalent years of relevant experience (at least 7 years of experience).
    Must be able to apply fundamental financial principles, practices and procedures in order to complete assignments.
    Must have the ability and willingness to perform in critical deadline situations.
    Must have the ability to apply logic and reasoning to identify problems.

    Security Requirements:
    Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

    Travel Requirements:
    Occasional Travel- around 20%

    If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.

    Physical Requirements:
    Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
    Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
    Communicating with others to exchange information.
    Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
    Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
