    Purchasing Manager
    Bloom Partners Talent Solutions is seeking a highly organized and experienced

    Purchasing Manager

    to join our client's growing commercial landscape construction client in

    Tampa, FL .

    As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, from identifying and sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts and managing inventory levels.

    You will play a key role in ensuring that the company has the right materials and plants at the right time and at the best possible cost.


    Responsibilities:
    Develop and implement purchasing strategies to achieve cost savings and optimize inventory levels for landscaping materials, plants, irrigation, raw materials, aggregates, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies
    Identify and source potential suppliers, conduct market research, and evaluate bids for landscaping materials, plants, irrigation, raw materials, aggregates, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies
    Negotiate contracts with suppliers, securing the best possible terms and conditions for landscaping materials, plants, irrigation, raw materials, aggregates, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies
    Manage inventory levels, ensuring that the right landscaping materials and plants are on hand to meet project demands
    Oversee the purchasing process, from requisitioning to receiving and payment for landscaping materials, plants, irrigation, raw materials, aggregates, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies
    Maintain accurate purchasing records and reports for landscaping materials, plants, irrigation, raw materials, aggregates, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies
    Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in procurement for landscaping materials, plants, irrigation, raw materials, aggregates, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies
    Work closely with project managers and designers to understand project requirements and ensure timely delivery of materials and plants
    Manage relationships with suppliers and maintain open communication to ensure ongoing supply of materials and plants

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, horticulture, or a related field
    5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the landscaping industry
    Proven ability to negotiate and secure favorable contracts for landscaping materials, plants, irrigation, raw materials, aggregates, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies
    Experience with inventory management systems and software for landscaping materials, plants, irrigation, raw materials, aggregates, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    Knowledge of landscaping materials, plants, irrigation, and construction methods
    Familiarity with the design-build process is a plus
