Psychiatry Residency Program DirectorNorth Country HealthCare is transforming healthcare for rural Arizona as a Primary Care, Federally Qualified Teaching Health Center.
We provide Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Dental, Physical Therapy, and Behavioral Health services to the under-served population throughout northern Arizona.

We are proud of our Family Medicine Physician Residency, our medical education programs, and our passionate team.The city has a true four-season climate which allows residents to enjoy year-round outdoor activities including 8 national parks within a 2-hour drive, hiking, biking, climbing, water and snow sports.
The Psychiatry Residency Director will:Develop and launch a new Psychiatry Residency Program (PRP) serving northern Arizona, including achieving initial program accreditation.
Oversee the administrative, clinical, and teaching components of the PRP by performing various duties either personally or through staff.
Development and implementation of program curricula, policies, faculty, community partnerships and other needs.Monitors operational results, manages budgets, supervises other staff including residents, and oversees day-to-day program operations.
All duties are performed in compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), institutional, and department policies and requirements.

Community health center benefitsCurrent board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or osteopathic equivalent. Current, or eligible, medical licensure in Arizona. Eligible for successful appointment to Flagstaff Medical Center and The Guidance Center. At least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience
Experience as a faculty member in an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency Program strongly preferred. Knowledge of ACGME and Review Committee policies and procedures preferred. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, creative and experienced leader and teacher, who can help skillfully build a curriculum, engage faculty colleagues, and become integrated with the local medical staff and the northern Arizona healthcare
