No Remote Our client is looking for a Consultative Sales Manager to lead a tenured sales team for the NE Ohio territory. The position is based onsite at the manufacturing facility in the Cleveland area and will work closely with the Executive team and other cross-functional partners. Previous experience in Industrial or Chemical sales is desired. Some of the duties of the role would be.
Lead the business in the pursuit of gaining market share in the industrial chemical, specialty chemical, and personal care products market
Prepare and negotiate long term customer agreements
Lead sales team providing day-to-day direction and career development support
Provide effective presentations to company leadership
Develop an overall industry plan, including major accounts, second tier accounts, and OEMs, with a focus on profitable growth.
Develop technical / product plans in conjunction with the field sales teams for the major target accounts and leads team reviews / updates of account plans
Discover and understand customers primary business goals, operations, challenges, requirements, organization and develops sponsorship with key
Evaluate, prioritize pursuit strategies, and coordinate efforts across major industry projects.
Identify and investigate emerging market segments for focused industry segment and develop strategies to penetrate those markets.
Identify existing and future / potential product gaps for industry to drive new product development from the product BU's.
Analyze competitive strengths/weaknesses and market pricing as it impacts the focused industry segment.
Provide direction for planned inside and route sales in designated area
Utilize influence management to increase world area sales focus on specific industry initiatives for growth.

**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:**
Bachelor's Degree plus minimum 3 years' relevant industry experience; or 5 years' relevant industry experience.
Ability to travel with staff to local accounts and potential customers outside NE Ohio (post COVID restrictions).
**PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:**
Bachelor's of Science and or Business desired.
Previous industrial/Chemical sales experience desired.
Knowledge of the Chemical Industry would be an added value to the position
Prior experience managing direct reports.
