    Job Description Title: Manager, Information Technology

    Remote Work Eligibility: Hybrid in Bothell or Redmond

    Job Description

    • Works under general direction of senior management to plan, organize and direct work related to assigned IT segment or area. (selection of segment/technology required)
    • Manages team of IT employees, many of whom will have significant latitude and independence. May also manage lower-level managers and contractors.
    • Accountable for managing teams with responsibility for performance evaluation, salary review and hire/fire decisions.
    • Provides leadership to the IT staff including career development, performance coaching, administration, technical guidance, recruitment and budgetary management
    • Responsible for the end-to-end design, development and maintenance of systems and services enterprise wide or in a designated business unit.
    • Implements organization strategies and operational objectives through the effective direction and management of resources.
    • Facilitates creation of team environment through communication, setting objectives and coordinating individual and team assignments.
    • Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in the operating and/or procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of safety.
    • Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Oversees technical support staff and ensures that end users are receiving the appropriate assistance in accordance with published service level and operating level agreements.
    • Serves as primary escalation/focal point for end-user and/or management issues pertaining to the work performed or staff functioning in the end-user space.
    • Responsible for managing all procedures related to identification, prioritization and resolution of user related incidents, including the monitoring, tracking and coordination of Service functions.
    • Responsible for planning, designing, and analyzing the organization's services according to best practices, while ensuring high levels of customer support, service quality and availability.
    • Performs staff scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage during expected operating hours and on-call support as required including Storm events.
    • Solves problems and makes decisions on a daily basis relative to support responsibilities. Ensures that effective team representation takes place for the coordination of work processes and projects with other departments and divisions.
    • Develops annual plans in conjunction with business and IT partners for equipment, software, personnel and other expenses required to maintain corporate desktop needs.
    • Manages PC, mobile computing and peripheral installs, adds, moves, and changes in accordance with client needs
    • Manages hardware and software contracts associated with desktop computing / client peripherals and print management services.
    • Responsible for PC Refresh budget and delivery execution
    • Responsible for managing and overseeing strategic planning relating to End User Support services.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
    • Proven knowledge of information technologies and methodologies related to assigned IT segment or area.
    • 7 years experience managing or leading teams (some could include consulting) in strategic planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of IT system, application, infrastructure service or other technology areas. With experience in management demonstrating:
    • Strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management.
    • High competency in project management discipline and execution of small to large projects.
    • Experience in leading multidisciplinary, high-performance work teams/groups.
    • Successful development and implementation of new technologies.
    • Proficiency in driving process improvement.
    • Demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex problems.
    • 2 years experience participating in strategic planning, development, implementation, and maintenance/support of assigned IT segment or area.
    • Demonstrated management and decision making skills concerning information systems policies, processes and procedures with proven track record of completing tasks and/or projects within budget and on schedule.
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of business processes.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially with non-technical managers. Solid oral and written communications skills. An ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.
    • Strong knowledge in project management discipline to effectively arrange resources and manage multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills for single of multiple technical areas.
    • Strong negotiating and critical thinking skills.
    • Customer-oriented, a positive, team-oriented attitude, flexibility, an understanding of the business issues driving the need for information technology, and solid work ethic are expected.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Certifications: A+ Certification, Microsoft role-based Certifications
    • 4 years technical experience in PC and mobile computing.
    • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
    • 4 years experience deploying, rolling out, building, installing and configuring PCs and client peripherals; troubleshooting and resolving end user issues.
    • Working knowledge and experience with hardware & software within Windows 10 environments, including Microsoft Office and Virtual Desktops.
    • Prior experience with procurement of PC and mobile computing hardware and software.
