Description
Position Summary
Ogletree Deakin's Corporate Accounting and Finance department has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Budgeting & Financial Reporting to join the Greenville, SC administrative office.
This position manages the Firm's annual budget process and the corresponding team and is responsible for publishing accurate daily financial statements, including the daily cash flow forecast, and preparing firm-wide monthly forecasts for management.
This position will also be the system administrator for the Firm's budgeting system and will support the Controller and Assistant Controller.
Essential FunctionsManages and prepares local and consolidated budgets for all offices and administrative departments.
Oversees and prepares monthly budget variance reporting.
Oversees and prepares ad hoc reports.
Co-administrates the budgeting software and manages all communication with the vendor. Including system implementation and maintenance.
Prepares firm-wide daily and month cash flow forecasts and expense forecasts for management.
Oversees compilation and review of the Firm's monthly office and administration department level reporting packages.
Oversees proper accounting of all employee movement (e.g., hires, terminations, transfers, open positions), including Salary, FTE and any special financial considerations.
Works in close collaboration with HR and Recruiting departments.Requirements
Bachelor's degree
10+ years budgeting experience.
Has management experience at a professional services organization
Strong budgeting and accounting systems experience.
Basic and advanced accounting knowledge.
Ability to work overtime as needed
Possesses analytical skills; is able to make connections across disparate data.
Able to solve problems.
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Teamwork – willing and eager to help others and share knowledge and skills.
Initiative – takes independent actions and reasonable risks. Asks for and offers help when needed.
