    DIRECTOR, PRODUCT MARKETING

    As the director of product marketing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the go-to-market strategy and messaging for our platform and product offerings. You will work closely with firm leadership, product managers and sales, while leading a team of talented marketers to develop and execute marketing activities that resonate with our target audience, drive demand, and ultimately contribute to the growth and success of ZS.

    Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Develop cohesive marketing plan and strategies that successfully positions platform and product offerings for growth.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies and competitive developments, providing insights and recommendations to inform platform and product roadmap decisions and future marketing strategies.
  • Leverage customer satisfaction, win/loss analysis, competitive landscape and industry trends to develop competitive platform and product positioning, messaging and differentiation strategies.
  • Collaborate with product management to develop competitive need/gap analysis, align platform/product roadmaps and pricing strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, sales, and customer success to ensure portfolio alignment and drive product success throughout the lifecycle.
  • Create compelling messaging and positioning that effectively communicates the value proposition of our platform and product offerings to various target audiences.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing collateral, sales enablement materials, customer case studies, and other content to support demand generation, lead nurturing, and sales conversion efforts.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new product launches, working closely with product management to drive successful product introductions and adoption.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage the hiring, development, and retention of product marketing talent; provide day-to-day leadership and direction to product marketing team.
  • Background/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in product marketing roles within platform or product companies, with a proven track record of success in driving product awareness, demand generation, and revenue growth.
  • Deep understanding of platform and SaaS business models, market dynamics, and customer needs, with the ability to translate technical features into compelling benefits.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring high-performing marketing teams.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and market conditions.
