    JobSummary:
    Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the Controls and Electrical Design Departments. Required to participate in and aid the management team withtheirobjectives.
    Coordinatesactivitieswithotherdepartmentstomeetdelivery dates per customer schedules. Responsible for ensuring UL requirements are met. Expected to work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Health and Safety Policies
    EssentialDuties and Responsibilities
    Defines annual department objectives based on priorities assigned by the Vice President, Operationsandimplementssystemstoaccomplishtheseobjectives;tracks progress and reports on a monthly basis
    Ensurescapacityplans are developed and executed to support on-time deliveries
    Takes a leadership role in developing and mentoring all direct reports; provides objectiveandpriority-baseddirection;conductsperformancemanagementreviews and implements development plans
    Responsibleforthedevelopment,optimization,standardizationandexecutionof processes in all areas of controls and electrical design
    Expeditesoperationstomaintainschedules andmeetunforeseenconditions; coordinates with department Managers and Project Managers when changes need to occur to schedules
    Attendsweeklyproductionmeetingspreparedtoprovideupdateon Electrical/Controls Department status on all projects and assist where required
    Recommendsandimplementscontinuousimprovementmeasures withinthe Controls and Electrical Design Departments
    Accountable for department-specific safety training and carries out supervisory responsibilities inaccordancewiththeorganization'spoliciesandapplicablelaws
    Otherdutiesasassigned
    Requiresstrongleadership,peoplemanagementskills, soundjudgmentandthe ability to develop and motivate staff

    Musthavepractical experienceinmanyofthefollowing:
    ProgrammingPLCs,HMIs,VisionSystems, CNCs,Robots,ServoSystems
    ProgrammingusingC++,VBinaMicrosoft environment,preferably.
    Net
    Databasedesignand implementation
    ImplementationofIndustrialNetworks
    UL 508A
    CE Marking experience helpful
    MachineSafety

    Abilitytoread,analyze,andinterpretproceduresand regulations
    Abilitytooperate allcurrentsoftware asitpertainstothe position
    Mustbeavailable forbusinesstravelwithinandout-of-countryforshort durations
    Autonomyand Authority
    Workisgenerally assignedinterms ofbroadobjectives,andisreviewed for accomplishment, policy, and effectiveness

    Education,Experience,andQualifications :
    10yearsofrelatedexperienceintheautomationindustry
    BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred
    Musthaveavalidpassport anddriver'slicense, aswellastheability totravel to customersites,bothlocallyand internationally
    Mustbeabletoworkinalltypesofmanufacturingenvironments(oil,dust,etc.)
    Maybeexposed tomediumtolightnoise levels
    Abilitytositatcomputer workstationforanextendedperiod

    About the Team


    The Samuel Automation Solutions Group (ASG) is a world-class designer, manufacturer, and integrator of custom factory automation for the health science, automotive, aerospace, and consumer product sectors.

    From proof of principle studies to developing turnkey solutions, we seamlessly integrate industry-proven technologies to meet or exceed client requirements.

    As a member of the Samuel Management Team, work effectively with operations staff as well as office staff to meet customer expectations.

    Organize and direct supervisors, warehouse, shipping, receiving and maintenance staff. Oversee all aspects of operations.
    To assist Project Management team with shop traveler management, document management.

    This pivotal role encompasses the comprehensive maintenance of the site, including its buildings, machinery, and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and operational efficiency throughout the facility.

    Supervising the Maintenance team is a key aspect, requiring effective leadership and coordination to uphold high standards of performance and safety.

    Additionally, the role involves meticulously selecting and closely monitoring contractors who provide essential services, ensuring that they meet quality standards and adhere to established protocols.

    This multifaceted position plays a crucial role in the smooth operation and upkeep of the facility, contributing significantly to its overall success and functionality.
