- Assist in installation of personal computers, components and peripheral devices.
- Perform routine installation of enterprise computer software for desktop.
- Function as "help-desk" for all users by assisting in simple to moderately complex tasks using word processing, spreadsheet, database software, Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office. Maintain documentation of support issues.
- Assist staff in the use of computer hardware and software.
- Assist staff and guests with use of Wi-Fi and presentation systems.
- Assist Network Administrator in monitoring and maintaining in house computer systems.
- Conducts a variety of crime and statistical analysis in support of crime analysis activities.
- Assists with administering crime analysis database and tracking systems; assists with creating local, state and federal statistics for in-house reporting requirements and ensures work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Performs professional, administrative, and technical work and assists in the management of operations for the Police Department.
- Responsible for maintaining records involving arrests, summons, court dates and other related court activities to assure the efficient flow of information between the court system and the police department.
- Responsible for notifying officers of court appearance dates and other requirements or activities. Maintain and generate the weekly cases going to trial, jury trial, judges' hearings and motions to suppress for officers; generate weekly schedules for arraignments, hearings, compliance and elections, and status, as well as those mentioned above. Record and process all final dispositions both in the computer and in case files, including following through to closure all superior court findings.
- Provide court offices, Clerk's office, Assistant District Attorney's office and Victim Witness Office with 911 tapes, victim/witness statements, defendants' statements, etc., as requested and required for court matters.
- Maintain recall of warrants and their active status, as well as validation of warrants through court records and department records. Assist with other duties as directed by the court officer.
- Maintain juvenile filing system of all pending court cases involving both adult and juveniles and new arrests. Produces monthly juvenile lock-up report.
- Provide monthly lists of active arraignments and hearings for statistical findings.
- Perform off-duty detail billing procedures. Track details and create invoices for vendors. Monitor payments, reconcile and create aging reports for Town Accountant's office.
- May assist with department payroll processing in the absence of the Executive Assistant.
- Disseminate CORI information.
- Perform related duties as required.
- Knowledge of standard office procedures, practices, forms and equipment; dexterity and accuracy in operating adding machines and word processing keyboards.
- Ability to prepare routine to complex correspondence and reports utilizing computerized office applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, etc.
- Ability to understand, learn, interpret and explain policies and procedures and to apply such guidelines appropriately to different situations.
- Intermediate knowledge of PC hardware, Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office including Excel.
- Ability to utilize and operate computerized information systems (databases).
- Ability to interact effectively and pleasantly with a wide variety of individuals, including customers, co-workers, outside professionals and members of the public.
- Ability to understand, select and perform basic mathematical calculations, efficiently and accurately.

Description
Under the direction of the Records Supervisor, conducts a variety of crime and statistical analysis in support of crime analysis activities; collects and analyzes data describing crime patterns and crime trends, and other related duties. Perform routine technical work in the installation and maintenance of PC hardware and software; function as a backup for the Network Administrator. Responsible for the provision of comprehensive administrative and secretarial duties for the Police Department, including office administrative and bookkeeping functions, inclusive of detail billing and court records administration, and related duties.

Provide assistance to internal and external customers of the division. Greet visitors, answer phones, explain office procedures and respond to questions within level of expertise and authorization, referring more complex issues to management staff.
