    Job Title: Director, Technical Product Management

    Your Role

    As the Director of Technical Product Management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our product strategy. This leadership position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and a proven track record in product management. You will be responsible for leading a team of product managers, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and driving the development of innovative solutions that meet both customer needs and business objectives.

    What will you be doing

    Responsibilities/Key Objectives

    Product Strategy, Vision, and Roadmap:
    • Develop and communicate a strategic product vision aligned with company goals and industry trends.
    • Define and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, making smart decisions on custom builds and 3rd party integrations.
    • Drive the development of innovative products and features that enhance the single-family rental experience for both tenants and property owners.

    Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of technical product managers to deliver high-quality products.
    • Provide guidance to ensure the team delivers high-quality products that meet business objectives and customer needs.

    Technical Expertise:
    • Utilize your strong technical background to understand and contribute to the development of complex technical products.
    • Make informed and strategic decisions on whether to custom build solutions or integrate with 3rd party offerings, considering factors such as scalability, cost-effectiveness, and time-to-market.
    • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure the alignment of business goals with technical implementation.

    Business Process Design and Optimization:
    • Apply your expertise in business process design to optimize workflows related to single-family rental operations.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

    Collaboration with Operations:
    • Interact effectively with the operations team to understand their needs, challenges, and goals.
    • Collaborate on the development of technical solutions that streamline operations and improve overall efficiency.

    *Applicants holding a real estate license will need to have their license assigned to one of the company's brokerages after 30 days of employment.

    What we look for

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant technical field.
    • Proven experience in technical product management, with a strong background in leading and managing teams.
    • Demonstrated success in developing and executing product strategies.
    • Strong capability to interact with the operations team and bridge the gap between technical and operational requirements.
    • In-depth knowledge of business process design and optimization.
    • Ability to make strategic decisions on whether to custom build or integrate with 3rd party solutions, considering factors such as scalability, cost-effectiveness, and time-to-market.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • Single-Family rental industry background is a plus.
