Description
Review and implement kaizen improvements from manufacturing and support associates.Perform work center 6S assessments and collaborate with teams to assure improvements are implemented. Help with red tag process.
Propose and lead cross functional continuous improvement projects.
Understand value stream maps. Find necessary data. Propose improvements from VSM and data analysis and help with implementation.
Deliver training of lean and six sigma tools and principles as needed.
Understand and utilize continuous improvement tools such as Fishbone Diagrams, Kaizen Events, Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management Implementation, 6S, Kanban etc.
Represent continuous improvement in work centers and support departments. Support work center leadership to achieve goals. Attend support team meetings.Positively collaborate with others, including assigned departments, manufacturing support, and the process improvement team
Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BioMerieux Quality System.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Training and Education
A degree in Life Science, Engineering, or Manufacturing/Business Operations is preferred, but not required.
Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience
Minimum time and type experience required for this position.
Two years' experience working in a cGMP manufacturing facility
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Comprehensive understanding of industry regulations and cGMP compliance.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Use project management software to track projects and provide updates
Ability to read, analyze, and manipulate data sets
Ability to influence people and groups without direct authority
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to mentor associates and team members that are earning their Lean-Six Sigma Green Belts
Strong communication, collaboration, facilitation, and influencing skills with ability to interface across functional areas and business operations at all levels of the organizations.
