    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a Design-Build Staff Engineer to be based in Grand Rapids, MI.

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Supports the Michigan DOT and other DOT owners with the development of design-build contract documents, including requests for qualifications (RFQ) and requests for proposals (RFP).
    • Serves as a document control specialist to manage submittals from the design-builder.
    • Collaboratively works with other subject matter experts to develop design requirements.
    • Builds analytic and design skills.
    • Conducts conceptual/preliminary engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
    • Creates engineer estimates.
    • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
    • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
    • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
    • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
    • Valid U.S. Driver's License

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience with scheduling software (Microsoft Project, P6)
    • Experience with CADD programs

    Additional Information

    • Relocation is not available for this position.

    • Offered rate of compensation ([insert state] locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $55,029 - $96,302.
