- Provide HR assistance in the management, planning, and development of programmatic goals for the Cancer Center.
- Develop and maintain databases to collect and analyze data, track expenditures, and maintain budgets.
- Coordinate HR and administrative activities for all new employees, students and volunteers. Coordinate and/or implement Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) lab safety training.
- Monitor Principal Investigator (PI) budgets and consult with Finance Director for recruitment purposes to ensure adequate funding is available.
- Assist with processing of visas and renewals for faculty, postdocs and staff.
- Edit, format, and revise a variety of documents, reports and presentations. Researches, analyzes, and summarizes information and source material for reports independently and communicates findings orally and in writing.
- Order supplies and maintain equipment.
- Receive and screen telephone calls and visitors.
- Assist in HR functions such as compliance, payroll processing, and contract renewals.
- Assist the Finance and Clinical Research Office with special projects.
- Perform other related duties as needed.

The University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) - School of Medicine - Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center (UMGCCC) has an exciting opportunity for an HR Administrative Coordinator.
The University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center (UMGCCC) serves as the umbrella for all cancer-related activities on campus.
Activities of the Cancer Center include basic and translational cancer research, student and house officer teaching, and a strong focus on new therapies in both an inpatient 46-bed unit and outpatient setting.
In addition to full-time attending services on medical oncology and hematology, Cancer Center members participate in multidisciplinary clinical programs centered around specific cancers (e.g., breast, thoracic, genitourinary, gynecologic, head and neck, gastroenterologic and hematologic malignancies) with specialists from surgical and radiation oncology to provide integrated care for the cancer patient.
The center is a strong participant in new drug development and trials, and is a member of several national cooperative groups.
The Cancer Center has also established strong translational research programs in experimental therapeutics, hormone responsive cancers, molecular biology and genetics, viral oncology, tumor immunology, and cancer prevention and control.

Essential FunctionsEducation:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, finance, accounting, human resources or other related field.
Experience:
Two (2) years of related experience in use and analysis of financial, administrative, procurement, or human resources management. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred.
Other:
Related experience may be substituted for minimum education.
