    OVERVIEW OF ROLE:

    We are looking for a Corporate Training and Development Manager who will be responsible for the design, delivery, tracking, and evaluation of the effectiveness of training and development programs. In your role as an educator, the primary focus will be on the professional development of every NOVEC colleague pursuant to delivering on safety, quality, and reliability. You will possess a positive attitude with a proactive leadership mentality, the ability to work with stakeholders across all business channels, and an open mind to find and deploy the best learning solutions. This position reports to the VP of HR and will have 1-2 direct reports.

    **THIS POSITION HAS A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE AFTER INITIAL TRAINING PERIOD**

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Collaborate on the development and design of instructor-led training materials that use various training mediums for delivery across all business channels. This is to include any post-training support materials that increase retention of knowledge and/or skills.
    • Conduct face-to-face as well as virtual training for designated employee groups with the ability to motivate attendees through effective training methodologies. Possessing the ability to create thought-provoking discussions that engage learners.
    • Identify skill gaps that affect business results, and work with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to address the training opportunity. Selecting the delivery method with the right balance of learner best experience and best cost/return to the business.
    • Ability to create content that engages the adult learner across a variety of platforms and mediums.
    • Develop and conduct training for assigned personnel and departments to enhance individual and team performance, capabilities, and effectiveness.
    • Provide desk-side training and one-on-one tutoring/shadowing to associates when applicable to ensure consistent and uniform delivery of service.
    • Assist in developing, monitoring, and providing quality assurance oversight of training programs.
    • Develop tracking mechanisms that alert colleagues when recertification is due and provide actions to avoid gaps in position-required licenses, certifications, etc.
    • Partner with the Leadership Development Manager to drive enterprise-wide people manager and leadership programs and initiatives embedded with leadership success profile and framework to establish the leadership DNA.
    • Co-facilitate people manager onboarding program, Leadership Essentials, including facilitating lectures, classroom labs, and building leadership community cohorts.
    • Develop effective post-training surveys to evaluate training effectiveness with participants.
    • Implement, manage, and own the new corporate Learning Management system (LMS) (UKG-Ready).
    • Partner with HR team members and leadership to revamp and deliver a robust new hire orientation program and lead the continuous effort to enhance the onboarding process and new hire experience.
    • Partner with HR Compensation to create career pathing and a competency framework for critical roles/functions.
    • Conduct needs assessments to address development needs across all business units.
    • Continuously evaluate internal and external Learning and Development programs and recommend changes to modify existing programs and suggest ongoing improvement by determining appropriate program metrics, targets, gaps, and goals.
    • Project manage learning and development initiatives (includes performing any necessary administrative tasks, preparing materials, etc.) to ensure training needs and deadlines are met.
    • Assist in the execution of the performance management philosophy, strategy, and review cycles.
    • Create and lead the Learning and Development Council to share best practices, leverage preferred vendors, define consistent standards and processes for design and development, and provide governance to ensure cost-effectiveness.
    • Develop various training materials (train-the-trainer support, job aids, presentations, etc.) for existing and new processes for employees.
    • Utilize change management principles to develop change management plans and support process changes effectively.
    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or another directly related discipline is required with a Master's degree highly preferred.
    • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of training and development with large and small group facilitation is required with at least 2 years in a leadership position with direct reports.
    • A minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in designing and delivering learning solutions in a variety of content areas.
    PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • Experience in a LMS is required (UKG Ready, Ultimate, and/or Cornerstone is preferred).
    • Adept at leveraging SCORM standards for seamless integration and management of e-learning content.
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Superior oral and written skills (will be asked to provide samples via presentation)
    • Experienced in leveraging Adobe Acrobat for advanced document creation.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Good presentation skills - able to engage all students in a training class.
    • High aptitude for using technology.
    • Ability to quickly adapt to change.
    • High energy level and desire to succeed via organizational development success.
    • Ability to recognize problems and recommend viable solutions.
    • Travel as needed (must be able to travel by plane and able to drive a vehicle).
    • Perform job responsibilities promptly and accurately within established guidelines under minimal supervision while providing superior customer service.
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS
