Training and Development Manager - Neurology

This role is a US-based, remote field position reporting directly to the National Field Training Manager, supporting the Neurology sales force at Amgen.

This person will have a dotted line to the National Sales Director and work closely with marketing partners to design and deliver training materials that are aligned to business objectives and drive customer engagement that ultimately results in serving more migraine patients with Aimovig.

This role will support New Hire onboarding, facilitate semester meeting content, and engage with brand leads on field insights.

This role serves as a developmental opportunity that will require the establishment of virtual cross-matrix relationships with sales, marketing, and training leaders across the organization.


Key Responsibilities Include:


  • Designing and leading training including New Hire onboarding and semester meetings
  • Demonstrating facilitation expertise to enhance delivery of training content virtually
  • Developing and facilitating training content with mínimal guidance
  • Designing and enhancing existing curriculum to meet the needs of the virtual sales force
  • Work collaboratively to develop innovative training materials in alignment with brand strategy in a virtual environment
  • Ability to work effectively to establish key partnerships with internal trainers, crossfunctional team members, and leaders
  • Conducting virtual field rides as needed and providing insights to sales and marketing partners
  • Up to 10% travel required

The Field Training Manager professional we seek is dynamic, goal oriented and results driven with these qualifications:


Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
Master's degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
Associate's Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of training, sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries
  • Sales experience with products in the migraine marketplace preferred
  • 3+ years working closely with sales, marketing, compliance, healthcare company or related industry experience
  • Experience defining training goals and objectives with key internal clients
  • Strong facilitation skills using multiple mediums
  • Experience working with sales team, regulatory, legal, compliance, vendor management as client or functional unit lead
  • Experience in engaging with key stakeholders to deliver results for multiple priorities
  • Strong clinical acumen to model and shape curriculum and staff
  • Demonstrated selfstarter, ability to work under limited supervision, and coordinate multiple projects and teams in a detailoriented environment
  • Strong business acumen using Veeva data systems
  • Strong communication skills (including coaching and selling skills)
  • Experience building and delivering training content for a virtual sales force preferred

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
