    Reports to: Program:

    Older Adult's Center Director Older Adult's Center

    Duties and Responsibilities shall include but are not limited to the following:

    Office Procedure:

    • Maintaining files in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements.
    • Providing administrative support to the staff.
    • Performing basic bookkeeping tasks.
    • Making Bank Deposits.
    • Ordering needed equipment and supplies as directed.
    • Report premises repairs to the Center's Director and the Property Managers.
    • Implement emergency procedures as necessary.
    • Other duties in regarding administrative reporting and recordkeeping.

    Events Coordinator:

    • Coordinate and help develop programs for senior participants in the areas of social, cultural, educational, and recreational activities in compliance with NYC-Aging mandates.
    • Develop and implement out-reach plans to ensure maximum utilization of program.
    • Serve as a liaison with outside agencies and sub-contractors who provide services at the program, scheduling and monitoring their attendance, and assuring payments as appropriate.
    • Assist in the process of advancing senior citizen issues.
    • Responsible for the daily entry for the programming units.
    • Prepare and submit all program reports to the Program Director in a timely fashion (i.e., monthly units, box money, volunteer's attendance).
    • Assist in the development of program resources.
    • Follow and implement NYC- Aging regulations and policies at the OA center.
    • Attend DFTA/WSFSSH staff developments and meetings.

    Other Duties:

    • Work as a team member to establish and maintain high level of care and respect for clients.
    • Work cooperatively with other staff members.
    • Attend DFTA/WSFSSH staff developments and meetings as required for enhancement of job skills.
    • Assist with other duties as directed.

    Qualifications Expected:

    • Emotionally, mentally, and physically able to perform job responsibilities.
    • Able to work in a multi-cultural environment, with staff and members of the Center.
    • Preferred Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.

    Supervisory Responsibility:

    This position supervises assigned personnel, including front line staff and/or support staff.

    Work Environment:

    Business casual. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Additionally, this position interacts often with the public.

    Travel:

    Minimal travel between sites is expected for this position.

    Required Skills/Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree with at least two years' experience in human services, or Associate degree with three years of experience; or High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience preferred.
    • Strong presentation skills and ability to represent the organization in dialogues with other agencies and community meetings.
    • Excellent skills in verbal and written communication.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of community service/development.
    • Fully vaccinated COVID status required.

    Expected Work Schedule:

    This position is a full-time position expected to work thirty-five (35) hours a week. Generally, the work schedule for this position is 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday -Friday. Workday/hours subject to change.
