I graduated as a salutatorian from Hunter College with a Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry and a minor in mathematics. I have both laboratory research and clinical experience, and I am hoping to integrate these two in a clinical research setting.

Medical Scribe September 2021-June 2022 Metro Pediatrics, Rego Park, NY 200 Total Hours 
● Documented patient data such as vitals, medical history, and complaints 
● Helped with day-to-day tasks around the office like taking stock, filing, and providing the physician with necessary tools and equipment

Participant in the NIH C-SOAR Program June 2022-August 2022 Dr. Brant Weinstein, National Institutes of Child Health and Development 320 Total Hours + 320 Projected Hours National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD 
● Worked virtually under the mentorship of researcher Dr. Kiyohito Taimatsu in the Weinstein lab in the NICHD division of the National Institutes of Health 
● Studied embryonic organogenesis in zebrafish 
● Learned about various cell-labeling techniques including Brainbow, in-situ hybridization, transgenic lines with green fluorescent protein, and other analytical techniques such as single-cell RNA sequencing, angiography, etc. 
● Used bioinformatic tools such as ZFIN.org and the UCSC Cell Browser to determine specific cell marker genes for the development of the pharynx in zebrafish embryos 
● Generated a list of specific cell marker genes for pharyngeal development in zebrafish 
● Constructed and presented a research poster and presented it at the virtual NIH poster day 
● Is completing a second summer of in-person research in the same laboratory

Undergraduate Researcher September 2021-May 2023 Dr. Akira Kawamura’s Lab, Department of Chemistry 150 Total Hours CUNY Hunter College, New York, NY 
● Participated in the stereospecific chemical synthesis of diketopiperazines that will be used in a study involving live bacterial cultures 
● Used sample analysis techniques such as IR spectroscopy, NMR spectroscopy, and HPLC, and separation techniques including but not limited to size-exclusion chromatography, ion exchange chromatography, column chromatography, and thin layer chromatography. 
● Worked in a team consisting of the principal investigator, myself, and other research assistants 
● Completed an honors thesis and presented my research at the honors research conference

Private Tutor October 2018-Present 500+ Total Hours 
● Tutored students ranging from ages 7-20, primarily in math (geometry, algebra, calculus I) and the life sciences (chemistry, biology, physics)
