    Description
    IT Project Manager (Contract)
    Onsite 4 days a week.
    Candidates local to Houston only please.

    Overview:

    We are seeking a highly organized and experienced IT Project Manager with expertise in the software development project delivery to join our team.

    The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing IT projects and possess in-depth knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and others.

    As an IT Project Manager, you will play a critical role in leading and delivering projects that leverage essential tools to streamline workflows and enhance collaboration across the organization.


    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT software development projects.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather project requirements and define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
    • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation schedules.
    • Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, including kick-off meetings, status updates, and retrospectives.
    • Manage resources, and timelines to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
    • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and escalate as needed to ensure timely resolution.
    • Foster a collaborative team environment by promoting effective communication, transparency, and accountability.
    • Continuously assess and improve project management processes and methodologies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
    • Proven experience as an IT Project Manager leading projects utilizing the Atlassian suite and project management planning tools
    • Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • In-depth knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence and others.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic IT environment.
    • PMP, SCM certification is a plus.
    • Familiarity with IT infrastructure and systems integration is a plus.
