    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The Cloud Platforms Engineer (Azure) oversees the operation, support, configuration, and upkeep of Critical Path Institute's Microsoft Windows Client/Server on-premises infrastructure and Azure/M365 platform.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    CORE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Manage and maintain M365 administration.
    • Serve as the main Azure Administrator and provide support for AWS operations.
    • Manage Azure Active Directory, On-Premises Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP functions.
    • Design a framework for integrating foundational infrastructure technologies to bolster enterprise application support.
    • Set up and oversee cloud infrastructure and on-premises environments to maintain integrity and ensure availability.
    • Address operational issues through troubleshooting and offer effective solutions.
    • Provide IT support and assistance meeting organizational and team requirements.
    • Execute administrative tasks for cloud and on-premises systems, encompassing installation, backup, security, and software patching procedures.
    • Discover appropriate third-party cloud solutions and oversee vendor relationships.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to guarantee secure integration.
    • Assist with network and security operations, including after-hours support for critical issues.
    • Develop and upkeep documentation detailing environment and application configurations.
    • Adhere to, document, and aid in enforcing standard operating policies and procedures.
    • Perform additional tasks as needed.
    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • Proficiency in Azure Environment and Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory).
    • Knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Conditional Access Policies, and single sign-on technologies.
    • Deployment experience with Azure resources and Office 365.
    • Understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSL, TLS
    • Proficiency in Azure Landing Pages, Blueprints, RBAC, and PowerShell scripting.
    • Experience with On-Prem to Cloud Migrations.
    • Proficiency in collaborating within a small team environment in a rapidly expanding nonprofit organization.
    • Some familiarity with AWS platform engineering.
    • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Willingness to learn new technologies.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Exercises sound business judgment when making decisions and adheres to external and internal policies and regulations.
    • Demonstrates analytical thinking related to IT system development, implementation, and problem resolution.
    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field with three to five years of experience in information technology administration and support; or a computer science background with five or more years of recent and pertinent work experience.
    • Remains on the forefront of emerging industry practices by engaging in ongoing education and research.
    • IT certifications are beneficial but not mandatory, contingent upon relevant experience.
    Physical Demands:
    • Frequently expected to remain seated for extended durations, with occasional standing and walking throughout the facility.
    • Expected to stoop, kneel, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • This may entail after-hours and weekend duties, as necessary.
