  • Job Scope
  • For individuals who are passionate about creating positive change, the Head of HSE, North America (Director) offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both the organization and the broader community by promoting safety, sustainability, and quality which include the following:
  • Ensuring Worker Wellbeing:
  • Ensure the health and safety of all employees in multiple manufacturing facilities across the US. Up to 30%
- travel required in this postion.

  • This includes implementing safety protocols, conducting regular safety training, and identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
  • Environmental Stewardship:
  • Involves implementing sustainable practices within the manufacturing process. Includes waste reduction, energy efficiency, and compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure that HSE collaborates with our quality systems group to develop and implement successful management systems aligned with 14001 and 45000 and conduct inspections, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure the company's compliance with regulations, reducing the risk of legal and financial consequences.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks to the manufacturing process and develop strategies to mitigate them. This may include business resiliancy and crisis management supply chain disruptions, equipment failures, and process inefficiencies.
  • Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Working closely with various departments, from production to engineering to legal, requires strong leadership and communication skills to facilitate collaboration and implement crossfunctional initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify areas for enhancement and drive continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the company's growth and competitiveness.
  • Impact on Reputation:
  • Successfully managing health, safety, environment, and quality aspects enhances the company's image as a responsible and reliable manufacturer.
  • What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental health, Safety Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5 + years of experience working in manufacturing environment a must.
  • 5 + years' experience working as HS&E Manager to midsize corporation.
  • Proven Leadership experience in the driving of standardizations.
  • Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist or other ISO lead auditor certifications preferred.
  • Experience with implementation of ISO standards, internal/external audit and certifications processes (ISO ISO 14001, ISO 9001)
  • LEAN Manufacturing, 5S, Floor marking and similar standards.
  • Delivering on the sustainability strategy and ESG demands (Environmental
  • Social
  • Governance), including understanding for delivering accurate, timely and transparent master data
  • Leading HSE professionals both on site/over distance 45 in direct reports
  • Proven experience in leading and driving safety culture programs, driving performance through employee and leadership engagements
  • Proof in using HSE digital platforms for reporting of HSE master data
  • Strong experience in driving environmental performance i.e. through impact and aspect assessments
  • Professional experience in leading and conducting incident investigations using recognized methodology
  • Experience with HOP (Human Operational Performance) tools and methodology
  • Drive and lead safety reductions projects, being project leader securing delivery on agreed timelines and calculations of ROI
