    Description

    Axios Professional Recruitmentis partnered with Grand Rapids Iron & Metal seeking an experienced Customer Service Specialist. Successful candidates will have general bookkeeping experience, excellent customer relationship management skills and be service-oriented.

    The focus of this position is: Serve Grand Rapids Iron & Metal and its client base by providing clear and accurate customer centric accounting and financial services. This position reports to and supports the office manager.

    Overall Expectations:

    Serve external and internal customers by understanding their needs or requests and delivering service with kindness, accuracy and efficiency all while maintaining company policies, guidelines and systems.

    Front Office:

    • Greet and assist Clients
    • Answer phones
    • Operate Truck Scale
    • Notify warehouse team of incoming clients
    • Create transportation documents
    • Update logistics status trackers

    Accounts Payable:

    • Create and maintain QuickBooks / Rematter vendor and customer information
    • Create, maintain and apply rates to vendor accounts
    • Assist with monthly payment purchase orders

    Accounts Receivable:

    • Initiate invoice and paperwork
    • Assist with Account Receivables collections
    • Assist with the receiving process and paperwork

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Client Services - schedule service requests
    • Inventory - assist in inventory adjustments
    • Data Entry - provide support to various departments
    • Equipment Assist Maintenance Manager with Hippo Software scanning and entering Data
    • Human Resources Assist Office Manager with payroll and onboarding new team members
    • Partner with office manager on various projects
    • Participate in special project
    • Look for opportunities for continuous improvement
    • Other jobs as assigned

    Customer Service Specialist Qualifications:

    • QuickBooks
    • Word and Excel (or Google equivalent)
    • 3-5 years bookkeeping experience
    • General Office Skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Associates degree
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Willingness to and help as-needed in other front office areas
