    Description
    8 month contract with possible extension

    Global Portfolio Communications (GPC), which leads end-to-end product communications within the Communications & Public Affairs (CPA).

    The leader will support and implement corporate strategy initiatives, coordinate overall GPC strategy development and planning, and lead strategic initiatives.

    The leader must have experience in both developing communications strategies as well as flawlessly implementing them on a global scale.

    The Portfolio Communications Strategy Director reports to the GPC Leader in charge of Strategy & Transformation, and serves as a member of the GPC Leadership Team.


    Approximate Percentage of Time Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities 40 Lead integrated communications strategy development process, coordination, tracking and reporting for the GPC team
    30 Establish operational excellence within GPC, coordinating budget, planning, reporting, continuous process improvement for GPC Leadership Team member
    10 Support goal setting process, measurement and analytics across the team aligned with enterprise standards, working closely with CPA Strategy & Transformation team
    10 Ensure aligned and strategic engagement with key business partners and regional communicators across J&J Innovative Medicine, including regular communications to share key GPC highlights, milestones and calendar.
    5 Support GPC VP in continuously assessing and building needed capabilities to deliver on plan. Coordinate needed trainings and workshops as needed
    5 Lead GPC community engagement, managing the GPC team calendar, digital community, global town halls, etc.

    • Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Communications, Project Management) is required. A masters degree is preferred.
    • 7+ years of experience working in communications, strategy, operations or project management (experience working in a communications agency or consulting company is an asset)
    • Proven experience as a project manager, preferably in a senior role, with strong project management methodology background
    • Proficient in project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
