  • The hiring rate for this position is $145, $185,000.00 per year. _The actual pay may vary based on several factors, including professional experience, hiring location, skills, and competencies._

Summary:
Director of Commercial Strategy


The Director of Commercial Strategy is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing key strategic initiatives to build "Future growth engines" of OIA Global ensuring that the entire organization and underlying processes are in line with our commercial operating model.

The role delivers expert level guidance around commercial concepts, processes, and products.


Supervisory Responsibilities:


  • Leading the global commercial strategy team: recruiting, hiring, training, and development.
  • Coach staff in the development of goals and objectives, providing constructive and timely performance evaluations.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Build and lead major crossfunctional strategic initiatives and define the strategic framework underpinning the initiatives to elicit the future growth, vision, goals, high level business scope.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional leaders, external partners, and senior commercial leadership to make alignments and ensure successful implementation.
  • Establish and promote continuous improvement methodologies within the commercial & marketing organization.
  • Develop and rollout an aligned commercial strategy across all OIA Global segments.
  • Establish and execute processes and mechanisms to run an effective Vertical & Account Planning
  • Support & lead strategic commercial projects.
  • Establish commercial KPI's for Vertical Markets, Regional Sales and Field Sales representatives.
  • Host, maintain and continuously develop the CRM and other IT relevant platforms with IT and external partners to ensure alignment with internal processes.
  • Establish procedures that enable smooth operation of the commercial organization.
  • Lead the gathering and analysis of customer, competitor and market insights from internal and external sources to substantiate recommendations.
  • Understand the current vs future state of the business and identify key requirements/capabilities (technical and operational) needed to support the strategy.
  • Delivery of the Annual Commercial Budget (AOP) along with supporting analysis.
  • Track financial KPI's & ensure that relevant actions are taken to deliver optimal performance.
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales and expenses.
  • Work with the business to prepare presentations for the Executive Board and Senior Management Team.

  • Indepth understanding and extensive experience of using financial and commercial drivers in order inform and challenge strategic plans and decisions.
  • Commercially minded with strong financial modelling skills

  • Ability to communicate complex messages clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences and formats (written, verbal) and gain buyin when needed.
  • Coaching and line management experience desired.

Education and Experience:


  • BA or BS required.
  • At least 10 years customerfacing role experience in the logistics industry, supply chain. management, air and ocean freight forwarding, warehouse management, material handling, and logistics technology, methods, and tools.
  • At least 5 years of supervisory/managerial experience.
