The Team:

The S&P Global Corporate Strategy team is responsible for guiding the overall strategy of S&P Global.

The team is responsible for setting the short and longer-term strategic ambitions of the company, guiding both organic and inorganic investment opportunities around our enterprise, divisional and core growth vectors.

The team partners closely with divisions and functions, and is responsible for periodic Board of Directors update, Quarterly Business Reviews, Competitive Intelligence, our Gen-AI strategy amongst others areas.


The Impact:


Partner with Global Head of Strategy, M&A and Partnerships, the Head of Corporate Strategy and business and functional leaders across the organization to shape and execute on our Enterprise Growth strategy.

Report directly to the Head of Corporate Strategy and will lead or support a wide range of strategic and certain inorganic initiatives, in accordance with the enterprise's top priorities.

Inform and influence high impact decisions by the top leadership, including the CEO and CFO.

Responsibilities:

Play a leading role in driving our enterprise growth strategy across the whole of S&P Global:
Leading the preparation of enterprise and divisional strategy updates to our Board of Directors
Review our competitive landscape, and prepare relevant and insightful market updates
Be deep in our Enterprise Growth Vectors, and prepare analysis of strategic themes and ideas
Customer at the Core is a strategic pillar; demonstrate a customer centric approach to evolving our strategic framework
Oversee delivery of our Enterprise annual Goals and Scorecards, working closely with divisional and functional leaders
Prepare and deliver mid-year / year-end performance reviews for our Board
Quarterly assessments, supporting our CEO

Driving growth and innovation in the support of cross-divisional shared networks which bring together commercial, product and technology leaders from across the organization.

Set agendas, drive new ideas and collaboration opportunities, develop third-party networks
Support our organic investment programs, partnering with divisions to ensure strategic alignment and prioritization of innovation and high growth opportunities
Support in maintaining our pipeline of inorganic opportunities, demonstrating knowledge of our domain priorities, top targets, and be on top of opportunistic strategies
Maintain close alignment with the M&A team, support deal processes as required
Manage and leverage insights from external stakeholders and manage engagements - including consultants, bankers, PE/VC professionals


What We're Looking For:

At least 5-8 years of relevant work experience required. Management consulting or corporate strategy experience strongly preferred; knowledge of B2B information services and/or financial information services a plus
Skilled at communicating strategic narratives clearly and simply in PowerPoint. Strong slide design capabilities and exceptional attention to detail required
Self-motivated worker with experience developing organic and inorganic business strategies and financial models with modest manager guidance
Proven track record leading cross-functional teams towards common deliverables and goals. Comfortable managing stakeholders across a matrixed organizational structure
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and make recommendations to senior stakeholders. Background in statistics a plus
Functional experience working with and analyzing company financial statements
Collaborative team player with effective written and verbal communication skills
Proactive, with an innate sense of urgency and accountability; able to deliver results with short lead-times


Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $200,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus.
