The
Director, Strategy, Central is responsible for supporting growth and positioning within Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) regions, within HMH Care Transformation Services and across the network.

This position is responsible for formulating strategy, developing strategic plans, initiatives and objectives.

This role will organize and project manage network-wide strategic planning engagements, provide strategic planning support to health ventures group and its divisional President, and provide strategic planning to support the Physician Enterprise and the EVP, Divisional President/Leaders.


Responsibilities:

A day in the life of a
Director, Strategy, Central at Hackensack Meridian _Health_ includes:

  • Develop and refine ambulatory strategy throughout the network; including, but not limited to developing geographic attractiveness assessment, programming sites of care and required demand modeling.
  • Organize and support ongoing development and execution of network ambulatory strategy through Networkled effort and within HMH Regions.
  • Develop integrated strategic, operational and financial plans with HMH Regions; and support annual strategic plans and network strategic planning process.
  • Partner with internal clients (VPs, EVP, CSO, Presidents) to assess needs, define business questions, translate business questions into analytical frameworks and developdeliver strategic solutions that advance internal client growth and transformation agenda.
  • Manage hospital clinical service redistribution across current future sites of care.
  • Track and report strategic initiative (Network, Cascading) in collaboration with Network Strategy group and leadership within Care Transformation Services and HMH Regions.
  • Support the alignment of systemwide strategic planning processes across research, academic, health ventures and clinical enterprises.
  • Support the organization with ongoing optimization and growth of current markets, while expanding HMH's footprint through partnerships and/or acquisitions.
  • Develop and execute work plans and serve as a key strategy advisor to SVP Strategy/ Business Development, CSO, Senior Executives, management team and multiple constituencies across all divisions of the organization.
  • Evaluate strategic fit of new programs and initiatives to include demand feasibility and collaborate with finance in the development of financial feasibility.
  • Prepare business developmentrelated regulatory support for Department of Health and the writing of Certificate of Need filings.
  • Work closely with Finance to support the development of financial feasibility analysis.
  • Professional development of direct reports and contributing to a learning and transformative Strategy/ Business Development team.

Qualifications:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Master's degree in Business and Healthcare Administration or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Minimum 8 years experience in strategy or business analysis including market, operational and financial assessments, or similar experience of solving real problems.
  • Progressively responsible management experience in strategy, corporate development, market analysis, business development, or healthcare management.
  • High energy, strategic thinker with track record of executing with strong analytical with critical thinking abilities.
  • Strong project management skills, including demonstrated ability to think endtoend, manage longterm projects and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and presentation skills, including experience presenting to executivelevel with storyboarding, development and delivery to executive audience.
