    Programmatic need being met by this request: Supporting ongoing research and monitoring of the existing and transitioning fuel system in New York State through data collection, monitoring, research, and project support.

    Is skilled at data entry and customer facing communications. Reporting and data analysis are common tasks. Is able to triage project requests and distribute tasks to project managers.

    Has good interpersonal relations with staff. Has friendly, helpful and positive attitude. Able to take direction and criticism from supervisor and other senior staff.

    Primary Responsibilities, and Minimum and Preferred Qualifications

    conducting analytical research

    develop analytical studies

    collect and organize information such as energy statistics to prepare memos and reports

    Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)

    Certifications and qualifications, including education/degree: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field preferred

    IT systems that will be used: Microsoft Office Suite, MS Access, SAS, and Tableau

    Tasks :

    Tasks to be completed for the State Heating Oil and Propane Program (SHOPP) and Fuels Availability and Supply Tracking (FAST) surveys:

    Triaging general inquires through the program's shared inbox

    Calling and interacting with suppliers to collect weekly survey data

    Coordinating with NYSERDA Project Manager to consolidate data collected from weekly calls

    Updating the NYSERDA websites for energy markets which include county and regional price updates for New York State General tasks as outlined:

    Coordinating with NYSERDA Project Manager to support data acquisition/analysis projects such as our annual energy profile report (Patterns and Trends)

    Support data collection for monthly and quarterly reports related to energy market intelligence
