HTH is seeking a Project Coordinator for an affordable housing renovation project in Bronx, NY.

Job Summary


HousingToHome (HTH) is looking for a professional, well-organized, data-driven, compassionate individual with excellent attention to detail to serve as a Full-Time Project Coordinator for approximately a 3-year project.

There is a strong possibility of growth within the company following the successful completion of this job.

The Project Coordinator reports to HTH's Lead Access Manager and is responsible for managing the day-to-day project coordination and relocation services during a renovation project at an affordable housing site.

This position is in-person and not remote. The housing site is in the Bronx borough of New York City.


Responsibilities and Duties
Job Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensures that all aspects of the project are organized and in conformance with the timeline and deliverables requirement
  • Maintain the project's datadriven matrix that tracks the overall progress of each resident's relocation
  • Work closely with the Lead Access Manager to coordinate, assign, and monitor resources effectively to boost project efficiency and maximize deliverables
  • Acts as HTH's main point of onsite contact for administering the various phases of the relocation process for residents who currently qualify for relocation services. Oversees the delivery of relocation services and benefits to residents and their families using HTH's best practices and service standards to ensure a highquality service.
  • Maintain office hours and prompt reply to resident inquiries and questions. Proactively provides continuing advice and support to both the affordable housing owner and residents.
  • Manages the drafting and distribution of all renovationrelated communications to residents including required notices, update/change notices, and construction confirmation notices. Notices must be translated into other dominant languages as needed. Responsible for maintaining regular contact throughout the relocation period including post construction to address any remaining construction issues, resident concerns, or grievances. Residents will also be provided with confirmation of construction completion in their apartments.
  • Conducts a thorough needs assessment at the onset of the relocation process to establish the resident's specific requirements and address any individual needs. Works with the residents and/or family to ensure all needs are understood and met and adjusts services and counseling to changing needs and conditions throughout the relocation process.
  • Interfaces and works collaboratively daily with the construction team informing them of issues, challenges, special considerations, and other items as they arise. Identifies solutions to these issues and executes solutions in conjunction with the construction team. This interaction includes but is not limited to a daily checkin with construction.
  • Ensures apartments are prepped for construction which includes assisting residents to pack up their belongings in their bathrooms and kitchens and clear any other required areas in their home.
  • Assists with access to apartments each day for scheduled apartments. This includes morning access or arranging for residents to return in the afternoon when renovations are completed for the day and apartments are in ready condition for the night.
  • Manage designated day spaces. This includes making sure they are set up with furniture, cable/TV, refreshments, and snacks and that there are designated spaces set up to allow social distancing when occupied by multiple households and staying in contact with construction to inform residents of when they can return to their apartment each day of their renovations.
