    Axle Informatics is a company focusing on translational research, biomedical informatics, and data science applications. They are looking for a Scientific Program Manager to join their team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

    Overview
    Axle is seeking a highly ambitious, adaptable, structured, and detail-oriented Scientific Program Manager to join their team at NIH.

    Technical Requirements:

    • Provide technical and scientific writing/editing support.
    • Develop and implement plans and materials for internal and external communication about technologies available for licensing and partnering.
    • Write for scientific and business journals about technology transfer activities.
    • Prepare articles for newsletters targeting scientific business development officials and researchers.
    • Develop slide presentations and posters for professional society meetings.
    • Draft award nominations for technology transfer success stories.
    • Work on expanding technology transfer related publications on traditional and digital platforms.
    • Assist with strategic planning and compiling background reference materials.
    • Prepare content for newsletters, annual reports, and websites.
    • Support staff and inventors in developing webinars or videos.
    • Assist in invention commercialization efforts.
    • Respond to media and congressional inquiries.
    • Support collaborations and cooperation for NIAID's intramural inventions.
    • Develop social media communication and outreach plans.
    • Maintain accounts on social media platforms.

    Specific Qualifications:
    • Two years of specialized experience in technical writing plus a Masters degree in Biology or related discipline.
    • Minimum of two years of Scientific business communications experience.
    • Experience in web-based marketing and social media outreach.
    • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Working knowledge of programs such as SharePoint and Teams.
    • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
    • Ability to write about complex scientific matters in plain language for non-scientific audiences.
